Is It Possible to Turn Digestate into Fertilizer with Low Cost and Fast Payback?

The customer in Iran is looking for a fast and cost-effective way to profit from digestate as fertilizer. Producing powdered biofertilizer is a smart solution. The process is simple and requires relatively low investment.

  • First, dewater the digestate, as its high moisture content is unsuitable for further processing.

Screw press dehydrator reduces the moisture content of biogas residue to around 25%, ensuring a high separation efficiency between biogas slurry and solid residue. It significantly improves the material’s suitability for composting.

For efficient aerobic composting, we recommended a crawler-type compost turner. It offers two major advantages: Excellent mobility on various terrains, helping reduce site construction costs; High turning capacity for fast, uniform fermentation of digestate.

The machine help separate clumped materials and achieve the desired size for powdered biofertilizer. Made of galvanized steel, the screen is highly durable and corrosion-resistant.

Since the customer wanted to add nitrogen-fixing and compound microbial agents, we suggested adding them after crushing. The single-shaft mixer ensures thorough and efficient blending, maintaining microbial viability.
